The year 5 students of TA7 have been lucky enough to have an intern teacher, Mrs Bevan, who has developed an exciting learning program in Technologies for them.
The students have been focusing on the context of Food and Fibre Production, particularly butter and have learnt about food safety and hygiene practices.
Students participated in an engaging lesson where they made butter from cream.
They then compared the taste and colour to commercially produced butter.
Students learned about the history of butter production and were interested to ponder that if they lived around 100 years ago, this may have been one of their chores!
